Very Rad Bike March 8, 2007 S.H. (Los Angeles, CA) 31 out of 31 found this review helpful
I shopped around at bike stores and online for a cruiser bike. This is definately the best value.
It looks great, has gears, handbrakes, AND fenders! I found a similar one by Schwinn at Target for $10 more, but it didn't have fenders and the handlebars were too long so my hands weren't far enough in front of me. This one has the perfect handlebars.
It was easy to put together. It's just putting on the handlebars, seat, front tire, front fender and pedals. I didn't have to assemble the gears or anything. That was all done. The only confusing part was that the instruction manual was for several different kinds of bikes, and you had to read through a lot to get to the right bike. But if you're mechanically inclined, it's easy enough to figure out just by looking at the bike parts, which is what I did after getting annoyed with the instructon manual.
The only problem I had with this purchase is that it needed more padding during shipping. It didn't have any padding and a small piece was bent in transit. I was able to bend it back, but I knew I was taking a risk of that from reading the other reviews.
All in all, it's a fantastic bike. I have so much fun riding it. It's way more comfortable than a mountain bike. I put a basket on the front and it just looks great as a whole package. Other cruisers at bike shops were $300-$600. This is an amazing bike for the price.
The perfect bike!!! October 4, 2005 Rebecca A. Dickey (Salina, KS) 42 out of 45 found this review helpful
I love this bike!!! I bought this bike for comfort, style and its features. I spent about 4 weeks searching and researching entry level/budget friendly Comfort/Cruiser bikes and decided on this one even though assembly was required. It was exactly what I was looking for: higher and wider handle bars positioned so I can sit upright and not hunched over in the racing position, a wide saddle for ultimate comfort so I can focus on enjoying the scenery while I ride instead of discomfort, and a cruiser bike with hand brakes and more than one speed. I was overjoyed to find this bike has 7 speeds!!! Assembly was easy with the exception of some tweeking on the rear brakes. I took my bike to a local bike repair shop for that and the cost was minimal. The cost was worth it to me since I love the bike so much. Decals and fenders were in tact upon delivery but it was missing one front axle nut which was easily replaced at my local bike repair shop as well. I would highly recommend this bike to any woman looking for a comfortable ride with style.
I LOVE THIS BIKE! August 8, 2006 BonBon (New York City) 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
I ordered this bike because I wanted the comfort of a cruiser bike, but I still needed to be able to get up and down hills. It took me about 1-2 hours to put together and the directions were a little confusing because the manual is actually for several different types of bikes. You have to flip through and find the instructions that pertain to this bike. While it was a little confusing at times, I did just fine. I took it to a bike shop the next day to make sure I had put it together correctly and to have them make any minor adjustments that were necessary. They gave it a once over, and all it cost me was $10.
I have been riding this bike constantly since then. It is so comfortable. I feel like I am a little kid again. I just ride around with a silly grin on my face most of the time. This past weekend I rode down the west side of Manhattan, then took the train to the beach at Far Rockaway to ride all the way down the boardwalk. I am sure there are other bikes that area lot better, but they coast a lot more. If you are looking for a simple, comfortable and inexpensive bike, this is it. I highly recommend it!
I hope this review helps you. Best of luck and happy riding!
All around great bike! August 2, 2005 A. M. Czarnecki (Chicagoland, USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this bike for casual riding around the neighborhood, and a comfortable ride while doing it, and this bike fits those needs perfectly. There's nothing I'd change about this bike, including the seat, which I understand many people change in hopes of more comfort. Considering the look, the comfort, the durability and the price, I'd say you can't pass on this bike. In fact, I'm considering purchasing one each for my 50-something mother and my teenage daughter.
Ladies Cruiser Bike Value August 24, 2006 C. Pederson (Las Vegas, NV) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
For short neighborhood jaunts, this bicycle certainly fits the bill. We added a front basket and antique bell to customize ... Also, we took it to a local shop to adjust the brakes and gears a bit before regular use.
